Project Overview
Set against the backdrop of an ever-evolving food industry, Power Provisions aimed to disrupt the market with their innovative line of on-the-go soups. These soups not only promise convenience and nutrition but also bring the warmth of a homemade meal to the consumer, simply with the addition of water. My challenge was to encapsulate this harmonious blend of homey appeal and nutritional value in the brand’s visual identity, from logos to labels to packaging.
The Design Challenge
One of the pivotal design challenges was to convey the products as both "homemade" and "appetizing" through visual cues on the packaging. This involved a meticulous selection of color palettes, textures, and illustrations that evoke the warmth and comfort of home-cooked meals, while also appealing to the taste buds of a diverse audience. The goal was to make consumers feel as if they’re about to enjoy a meal that’s been lovingly prepared in their own kitchen, despite the convenience of a ready-to-eat format.
Collaborative Synergy
Collaboration was key. Working closely with the client, a junior designer, and a skilled illustrator, we shared a vision to create a product line that stands out not just for its convenience, but also for its inviting, homemade aesthetic. My role as Art Director was to guide this vision to fruition, ensuring that every design element from the compositions provided to the illustrator to the final logo and packaging designs resonated with our target audience.
